Thin plastic protections installed by ATV producers are mostly weak and break easily.
Iron Baltic skid plates are durable and much more protective also under very heavy conditions.
The plastic skid plate protects the whole bottom of the ATV, made of 10mm thickness.
Plastic sets are slightly lighter than the aluminium versions; they are more quiet and slide better in wet / mud / snow conditions.
Plastics, however, are not that durable as aluminium - the choice in between those materials is determined by the riding conditions and the surface the ATV being mostly used.
